David's Profile

Originally qualifying in Agricultural management, David successfully transitioned to sales and marketing within the ever-expanding software services industry.  David’s career flourished working with major software brands in diverse sectors from specialist applications through to games software publishing.

Building on that experience, David subsequently founded and operated a number of commercially successful independent companies as well as partnering with numerous international organisations, successfully launching them into lucrative EMEA markets.  Achievements were realised in both B2B and B2C sales environments, encompassing a diverse range of products and services including security merchandise and shop fitting.

 

Industries David has enjoyed success working within, include: FMCG, print and packaging, business software, games software and wine production.

 

Broad experience within such disparate industry groups ensures David can ably assist companies of all types and sizes in gaining new business and subsequently developing processes essential for building and maintaining a sustainable business model.

Clients worked with are many, always establishing strong customer relationships being a key strength of Davids approach – IBM, Microsoft, Debrett’s, Vodafone, Epsom, CarPhone Warehouse, Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, Samsung, Laithwaite’s, Duracell, Gillette, John Lewis, OUP, Huawei, BT, Penguin, MTN and many more.

 

Having over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, David is well placed to guide and support SME’s in growing their market share, as well as identifying and implementing best practice business improvements that both enable and encourage sustained growth.

 

Outside work David’s interests include road and mountain biking – he maintains all board meetings should be conducted on a bike!  David also retains a keen interest in wine – having run an award-winning vineyard in the Bordeaux region of France, gaining a number of wine industry awards, including a Silver in the International Wine Challenge.
